Holden.
An instagram campaign and website created to recognise the important contribution Holden made to this country as it approached the reluctant shutdown of this iconic Australian auto brand. “Rewinding Roads” was designed as an online album to amalgamate everyday Australians’ family photographs while paying tribute to a brand that has been part of Australian culture and our national psyche for over 70 years.
We used some of Holden’s most famous photos from its media archives and placed them in modern day settings with the help of Google Maps. Then we invited the rest of Australia to join in. All photos are matched to the same iconic locations they were originally shot – such as the 1965 HD Holden in front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, or a stretch of beach used to promote the 1964 EH Holden wagon.
